Withings Pulse Ox: This watch monitors whether you’re in light or heavy sleep by tracking your movement. Launch the sleep cycle analysis before you drift off. Then, in the morning, check the smart phone app to get graphs showing the cycles and quality of your sleep throughout the night. In addition to tracking steps and calories burned, the device also monitors your heart rate and blood oxygen level. ($119.95)
Jawbone UP3: The newest wrist-worn activity tracker from Jawbone doesn’t just tell you how long you sleep for, it also tracks your sleep stages (REM, light, and deep sleep). It does this through four sensors that monitor heart rate, respiration rate, body temperature, and movement levels. It also comes equipped with something called a Smart Alarm, which will wake you up to a gentle vibration. You can set it to go off at a specific time or give it a range (10 to 30 minutes) and it will go off when you are in a light sleep stage. ($179.99)
